Quilting THE QUILT

Hi there fellow Janiacs,
I haven't been on here for quite some time!! I finished the quilt top last year and have had it in the 'Too Hard' pile ever since. I have had it basted and now face the task of hand quilting!!!! I am not sure where to start - except probably in the middle!!
Does anyone know where to find the actual quilting design? There are no tips or instructions in the book.
Many thanks,
Julianne.

When you find the answer, please post it. Have we seen the finished top, Julianne? Would love to see it. My inclination as it has so many seams is the first outline the blocks and then find a motif to quilt in the middle of each block.

I did post a picture when I finished the top in June last year!! Taken me this long to get around to dealing with it!! I made a start today and have quilted one square - 168 to go!! Just decided to start in the middle and make it up as I go along. Happy with the result of the first one!!

Karen is hand quilting her second Dear Jane quilt. She is blogging her progress daily. She started from the outside border since she has it rolled onto a large frame. I am fascinated and encouraged with her approach to hand quilting.

If you look close at the photos of each block I think you can see Jane's quilting.....that said, you could make it up as you go along. My top still needs a border. I can't make up my mind what to so about that and have left it untouched for over two years!
